Baccarat is based on the easy premise of a combination hand of 2 or 3 cards with as close as possible  to 9. Though this card game could seem unfamiliar to some, it is in fact one of the simplest games to play. There’s just one call you have for every hand, the dealers handle the rest, playing out the hands in line with strict, planned rules.  This card game is sometimes seen as a glamorous game in some casinos.

The perfect hand is one with a toal of 9 with two cards, with the next best hand being 2 cards that have a value of eight. These hands are referred to as “natural” in the game of card game. If any player has a 2 card hand equaling a natural eight or 9 then the opposite players can‘t draw a 3rd card. The hand that is nearest to 9 wins. If no is a natural, there’s no automatic winner. Extra cards are drawn to see the end result of the hand. The one and only hand that beats the natural eight is the natural 9. If there’s a tie, all bets are off.

Aces have a value of 1, image cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) have a value of 10 and all other cards are worth their face value. If the cards in your hand are in double figures, then the first number is ignored. For example a hand totaling eighteen would count as eight. Drawing 2 image cards or 2 tens would have a value of zero. A draw of an image card or a 10 with an eight or 9 gives you the natural hand and no more cards would be drawn because the natural hand would be the winner.

The banker deals 3 hands of 2 cards each, face down. These hands are for 2 players, one to each of the players and one to the banker. Different players at the table might wager either hand or each to beat the banker’s hand. If a player professed “banco”, it suggests that they’re used the full price of the bank’s funds and the other bets are withdrawn.

If one player gets a count of eight or 9, he might stand or get a new card.  The player should stand on six or seven and should draw on four or less.
